The McMullin Area Groundwater Sustainability Agency (MAGSA) and Fresno State’s Center for Irrigation Technology (CIT) are hosting an educational workshop on November 14th as part of the Grower Irrigation Academy training series. The Grower Irrigation Academy is designed to help participants increase their irrigation system efficiency and nutrition management practices, ultimately contributing to groundwater sustainability in the region.

Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is for growers, farm managers, farm workers, irrigation specialists, and others who work on farms in the MAGSA region. Spanish and Punjabi translation will be available at this event.

Deficit Irrigation Strategies
- Saving water through shorter run times, delayed start times, lower application rate, plant-based sensing, & proportional ET replacement
- Practical irrigation management tips and tools
Soil Sampling for Efficient Nutrient Management
- Analysis, interpretation, and uses of soil testing data
Chemigation
- Survey of hardware
