Irrigators Invited to Leverage Grower Irrigation Academy Soil Maps and Webinars to Increase Water Savings

The Center for Irrigation Technology (CIT) at California State University, Fresno and MAGSA have partnered to create the Grower Irrigation Academy, a program designed to support MAGSA farmers in implementing efficient irrigation and nutrition management practices. 

The Grower Irrigation Academy has held webinars and workshops on efficient irrigation topics specific to the MAGSA region. Helpful digital resources such as videos and an interactive crop and soil map are also available to growers on the Grower Irrigation Academy website here: mcmullinarea.org/gia

As part of the Grower Irrigation Academy, MAGSA and CIT are currently hosting a Summer Webinar Series offering  free, one-hour webinars to help MAGSA growers improve yields and profits through smarter irrigation. This series covers topics like soil moisture sensors, scheduling, and deficit irrigation.
