Register for upcoming Grower Irrigation Academy Workshops and Field Days
MAGSA is partnering with Fresno State’s Center for Irrigation Technology to offer a Grower Irrigation Academy, providing local farmers with practical tips on improving irrigation efficiency and nutrition management. The Academy includes a series of workshops and field days, with the following upcoming events in November.
In-Person Workshop – November 14, 2024
Topics include:
- Water management basics
- Soil-water-plant atmosphere relationships
- Irrigation strategies
- Soil sampling for nutrient management
- Chemigation safety
Speakers:
Mae Culumber (Fresno County UC Cooperative Extension), Anthony Gunlund, and Charles Hillyer (Center for Irrigation Technology)
Field Days:
This interactive experience will give participants an opportunity to see field demonstrations and ask local irrigation experts questions related to Irrigation Efficiency and Distribution Uniformity in MAGSA-specific conditions.
- English: November 22, 9 AM – 1 PM
- Spanish: November 21, 9 AM – 12 PM
- Punjabi: November 21, 1 PM – 4 PM
Participants who attend the workshop and a field day (offered in English, Spanish, or Punjabi) will receive a Grower Irrigation Academy certificate.
