This is the Final Year for MAGSA Landowners to Apply for Exclusive EQIP Funding

Fiscal Year 2026 is the last year for landowners in the McMullin Area Groundwater Sustainability Agency (MAGSA) to apply for special $1 million funding pool through the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) program.

This funding pool has been available exclusively for MAGSA landowners, providing an opportunity to secure financial support for projects that improve on-farm water use efficiency. The Fiscal Year for NRCS begins on October 1, 2025. Growers are encouraged to begin thinking about the projects they’d like to submit for EQIP funding. NRCS asks that growers verify they meet eligibility requirements and gather project quotes and designs before submitting an application.

Eligible project types include:

  • Water delivery automation and monitoring
  • Irrigation water management and conveyance improvements
  • Sprinkler irrigation systems

To qualify, applicants must meet NRCS eligibility requirements. This includes owning or leasing and actively managing agricultural land, and having an average gross income of $900,000 or less. Learn more and view the EQIP Application Guide HERE.
